Creating a New Inventory Item

New inventory items can be created in an unprocessed sales order provided the user has access to the Inventory Maintenance form and the Plugin Maintenance record Insert New Inventory Item is enabled.

Steps

1. Right mouse click over the Line No. field and select Insert New Inventory Item
2. Enter in relevant data by either:
 
  • selecting an inventory item by clicking the search window attached to Use Details From and editing data that is loaded into the grid; or
  • entering in relevant data into each field
3. OK to execute when complete

The new part number is created in Inventory Maintenance and the part number loaded into the grid and placed on back order if a physical item. Enter in the relevant quantity and change price if required.
